A Little Loopy

But I'm back.

Surgery was nerve wracking.

I arrived at about 5.15am got checked in and changed (I hate those hospital gowns) and they took my vitals.

Then the nurse dropped the bomb.

I had to have a shot of Heparin.

In my stomach.

Yep I said it.

IN.

MY.

STOMACH.

So of course I freaked out.

So they gave me the happy medicine sooner rather than later and all was good.

Then they rolled me down to the surgery room - which they said I wouldn't remember - but I do.

And gave me more happy medicine.

Then the next thing I knew I was in recovery.  It's like magic.

Then they told me I had to stay overnight.  Which freaked me out a little because I wasn't expecting that.

But I'm glad they kept me because I was able to get the good pain killers and it really helped to have a bed that you could put at a incline.

Lying flat hurts.

So right now I'm propped up on a ton of pillows.

The staff at St Luke's was really nice - they made the stay pleasant.

Even though I was awakened every 2 hours so they could take my vitals.  Of course they also asked if I was in any pain and when I said yes they would give me something for it.

Gotta love pain meds.

Seriously.

I got out of the hospital yesterday afternoon and my husband booked us into a hotel.

Why you ask?

Well because our furniture still hasn't arrived!

So we're chillin' at the hotel and this morning I felt good enough to want to go to Le Peep for breakfast.

I had a bit of spinach omelette and 1/2 a biscuit.  That was the first food I'd had since Tuesday other than crackers and popsicles.

Then we went to the house to get more pillows for me.

Then for some reason I thought I'd be o.k. to go to the mall.

Big mistake.

All I can say to you is OWEEE.

So my husband brought me back to the hotel where I quickly took my meds, laid down and took a nap.

And I've stayed in bed for the rest of the day.

Lesson learned.

Just because you think you feel good doesn't mean you do, it just means your pain medication is working.

Anyway - I just took more pain medication and now I'm starting to feel it...

Bye bye!

I'm obsessed.

With Coffee.

With Wallowing.

With my comfortable American King Bed.

With my Down Pillows, from America, on my American King Bed.

With my Husband.

My poor husband, he came last on the list.

He may be last on that short list, but he's not least, and he understands.

He knows I love him most of all...

He knows I'm obsessed with wallowing on Friday mornings and coffee.

And he loves me.  So he indulges me.

It also gives him a chance to work, surf the net, and watch TV programs I don't like...

Guess What?!

Noooo not Chicken Butt!

It's almost Friday.

I didn't get to wallow last Friday because we took our housemaid to the airport.

But I did wallow on Saturday - but it's not the same.

And I felt guilty because my husband was going out of town.

But this Friday, THIS Friday I'm going to wallow.

Wallow, Wallow, Wallow!

Ahhhh.....

Thursday Blues

I am not feeling it today.

I'm tired and cranky.

Really, I feel like throwing myself down onto the floor (but not here the carpet creeps me out) and flopping around like a five year old.

I don't mean a tantrum, just flopping around like a spaghetti noodle.

It could have something to do with my bed.

My bed was so warm and toasty this morning, I sooo didn't want to get out of it.

My husband came home last night so when I woke up this morning he was next to me which is one of the reasons why the bed was so toasty warm.

So nice!

What a pain to get out of bed and go to work.

Blah!

But on the bright side I'm going to go shopping tonight with a good friend.

I'm very excited - I believe it's going to be a good shopping day.

Last week I saw some cute outfits on sale at the mall that I wanted to try on, but I didn't because my husband was with me.  It's not his cup of tea, unless of course I'm trying on lingerie, then he's all for it! Ha, ha, ha!

I'm so glad it's the weekend.

Are we human? Or are we dancers?

I didn't make either one of my goals yesterday. I had some dark chilli chocolate and I didn't exercise.

But...this morning I did sit ups and push ups and I lifted my 5lb weights AND I stretched.

There you go and here we are.

My new goal today is to not eat sweets.  I already feel weak though because it's "THAT time of the month"

Anyway I got nothing else today.

Except it's Thursday - which is my Friday.

Which means that tomorrow is Friday - which is Sunday.

And that Ladies and Gentlemen means I get to....

WALLOW!

Oh yeah baby!  Just like Queen Latifa in Last Holiday on the wonderful sheets in the Grand Hotel Pupp.

Wallow, wallow, wallow.

Then coffee...

I can't wait!

Christmas time is here

I was watching a Charlie Brown Christmas and it made me warm and fuzzy.  I love that show - actually I love all the Charlie Brown shows - so I downloaded them.

I wrote Christmas cards this year - send some to the States with my husband - need to address the rest.  Fingers crossed I actually send them out.

I'm back at work after having 4 days off - can I just say I don't want to be here.  But it's a good thing I am because I would never be on a regular time schedule if I didn't have to get up to go to work.  I can't seem to go to bed before 1am and if I don't have to get up for work - I'm not out of bed until 10am.

I'm awake about 9am - but I don't roll out of bed.

Wallowing.

I'm addicted.

America.

I need coffee - it seems like there is never enough in my coffee cup and just as I'm getting to feel partially human, I run out.

So now I need to go get more - I'm gearing up for it...

It's going to take an hour or so before I'm actually out the door.

It's a process.

I want to sleep

I want to sleep. I am TIRED.

I need rest from my vacation, and I started today - TMI?

When it's "that time of the month" I'm always extra tired and I want to stay in bed and just move extra slow.

S.L.O.W.

In my bed - my comfortable Sterns and Fosters bed.

With my down comforter and down pillows.

Too bad I have a client meeting today, I'd just go back home.

And wallow.

I'm going to create a new posting label - just for My Bed.
